Damn, that can't be the same case of Sam you described in the 1.06 commentary, is it? |

Oh, dear god, you actually got through LISTENING to that whole thing? You ARE a fan...lol...
Jer would have been done in half the time without me rambling senselessly on...
And, yes... it is. Quite curiously enough...

I was looking for any more material I could find. I blame you all.
And I heard most of it during my commute home, which means lots of noise drowned you out. Sorry, pirate-hat. |

Oh, thank goodness. I feel like I owe Jer an apology for that...
Not that he's going to get it, of course.

Well, don't remain too smug, young man. I'm still giggling over your choice of beer. Thank the Mrs. for posting about it elsewhere on this forum. |

I'm still nursing what's left of this year's run of Sam Adam's Octoberfest, along with a nice Boulevard sample pack.

Never liked the Octoberfest all that much... although the Mrs. does. But I think Moeskido would get along well with my father-in-law. He sounds like he could talk good beer with the man for half the night...

Sweet, malty beers, all. Like porter. Meh. Nothing wrong with them, just not my seasonals of choice.
Give me something obnoxious, like a strong Belgian or a hoppy IPA. Wash it down with a pale ale. Stout for dessert. |

Then you'll have to count me among them. Of course, the three months I spent in Europe back in the day helped greatly.

There's lots of us. Thanks to the efforts of the late, great Michael Jackson (http://michaeljacksonthebeerhunter.blogspot.com/) Americans now have access to beer varieties thought lost during the decades after Prohibition. It's safe to say there are beer lovers on this continent who know more about more different types of beer than some Bavarian brewmasters.
There are tons of amazing craft breweries all around the country. The Ale Street News (www.alestreetnews.com) keeps track of a lot of them. I'm lucky enough to have access to some through a distributor or two.

Missouri has two larger "craft" type brewers that are pretty good - Boulevard and the reborn Schlafly's.

It's actually in decline here, but not to the point where it's hard to get. My local brews their own too .

Young man, you've broken my heart. This is Star Trek.
Um...hell, what can I say? Your saying "This is Star Trek" is the best compliment I could ever receive.
I'm involved with the characters, and I know they're not all invulnerable. This is almost Joss Whedon-level storytelling, and it's breaking my heart.
No...that is the best compliment I could ever receive.
I adore Joss. He's a genius. And while I hope I dont come off too pretentious here, I think I have a similar understanding of the human condition, of emotions, that he does (not to mention our shared admitted ignorance of science and military parlance).

To be fair, only time will tell if your understanding will carry a multi-season/multi-level plot, but whatever works for you to continue this juggling act, works for me. You could do a lot worse than to aspire to Whedon's level, and you're already in his ballpark.

For arcs, I tend to make them season-centric, like Buffy did. But the character's respective journeys will stretch over the run of the series of course.

Moeskido, Forsythe-1,
He'll kill me for saying this but keep complimenting him. Jeremy's so cute when he's flattered and blushing.
Nimoy's got a sexy brain.

I'm torn between agreeing with an attractive younger woman and not wanting to indulge another Trek nerd in anything whatsoever. Good thing I have a snifter of Ommegang in my hand to mediate these impulses.
Too bad the work itself is so good. I'm ordinarily used to posting long-winded criticism.
Damn it.
