I think any musician that can write stuff like "Living on a Prayer" deserves recognition. If a song like that starts playing in a crowded pub, every fucker in the place starts singing along with a big grin on their face, and I don't want to sound like a queer or nothin', but there's something powerful about that.
"Don't be down, now! Maybe we can find some AIDS in the forest!"
Time, bubbling under, I will rise, I will train
Then I can only sing of the true nature of things
and I'll feel the pain I won't feel again
and I will rise to the other side where I'll stay, and I'll stand, tall as Centrepoint
Justice, Be my Drug

I agree completely. I've actually been crankin "edge of a broken Heart", recorded in a mobile recording studio on a night saw them back in '86, and their cover of Neil Young's "rockin in a free world", which is just awesome.
"Ladies! Will you please shut it! Listen to me. Yes, I lied to you. No, I don't love you. Of course it makes you look fat. I've never been to Brussels. It is pronounced 'egregious'. By the way, no, I've never actually met Pizarro but I love his pies. And all of this pales into utter insignificance in light of the fact that my ship is once again gone. Savvy?"

"Zerrissen" by "Juli", nothing special really, but somehow it moved me.

I always liked them. I think it's funny how most of the bands that I liked better when it was cooler to be "more hard core" are playing county fairs and these guys are still going stronger than ever. Who'dve thunk it back in the day?

I can't disagree. I've never been a fan of Bon Jovi - but I'll give credit where credit is due.

Outside of a few lucky rich fuckers, who isn't living on a prayer?
Up there we were heroes, fighting robot bitches...
Priest: Great wall of prophecy, reveal to us God?s will that we may blindly obey.
Crowd: Free us from thought and responsibility.
Priest: Your words guide us.
Crowd: We are dumb.

Careful what you share. According to statements from the RIAA, if you copy a song or CD you legally purchased on to your computer's hard drive, you have made an "unauthorized copy".
To rephrase that, as per the article linked below, the RIAA "maintains that it is illegal for someone who has legally purchased a CD to transfer that music into his computer."
What a crock of shit. Fuck the RIAA.
