Don't much care for the new album though

Me either...alot of the recent albums by reformed versions of bands from "across the pond" that I really used to like haven't done much for me...Wildhearts, Dogs D'Amour, Hanoi Rocks (although their "comeback" album, "12 Shots On the Rocks" was probably better than it had a right to be)

I just really don't know what happened to Ginger; back in the 90s he was making some of the most original unique, and captivating rock music I've ever heard, but since "Fishing for Luckies" it's largely been a hit and miss affair. "The Wildhearts Must Be Destroyed" had some good bits but is hardly a classic (in fact, the B-sides compilation album was much much better), his "A Break in the Weather" solo album was pretty good, but I haven't really liked anything since with the exception of "Ten Flaws Down" off of "Valour Del Corazon". His newer stuff just sounds generic, which is a word you could never use to describe the old stuff.

Don't mind me... been groovin on some old Pat Benatar tunes lately...in addition to Nightwish....
"Ladies! Will you please shut it! Listen to me. Yes, I lied to you. No, I don't love you. Of course it makes you look fat. I've never been to Brussels. It is pronounced 'egregious'. By the way, no, I've never actually met Pizarro but I love his pies. And all of this pales into utter insignificance in light of the fact that my ship is once again gone. Savvy?"

I've been groovin' on James Darren's "This One's From the Heart" - it's an album of the standards he sung on DS9 (and a few others), though not always the same arrangements.

A tad off topic (but it is musically related)...can anyone point me to a relatively idiot-friendly program to convert .FLAC files to .WAV files?

Well, these guys grew up.
The Radiohead (and, subsequently, Coldplay) influence is quite apparent...but so what: this is a great song that means a lot to it's writer. Apparently, it's about Daniel's eating disorder recovery. I can relate.
The autumn days swung soft around me, like cotton on my
skin. But as the embers of the summer lost their breath
and disappeared, my heart went cold, and only hollow
rhythms resounded from within.

I thought it was familiar, I think you posted an actual radiohead song by accident.

I don't like it. Old Silverchair was crap but this is much worse.

Coldplay....ugh! Why would anyone WANT to be influenced by them? The aural equivalent of Ambien.
