Shohreh Aghdashloo's concerns over social injustice led her to earn a B.A. degree in International Relations. And from there, in addition to her philanthropy on behalf of the world's poor and marganilized, she became the first Middle Eastern actress to cross over into the mainstream. Shohreh is best known for her roles in Guests of the Hotel Astoria, the hit TV series 24 and the critically acclaimed House of Sand and Fog.
