Dr. McCoy
Leonard McCoy likes to think of himself as just a simple country doctor, but nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, he?’s a brilliant surgeon, sometimes hailed as an ?‘artist?’ by many of his peers. But he?’s also a flawed and lonely man driven by demons that come right up to the edge of possibly ruining his professional life.

A common experience through out history is men fleeing a chaotic existence and escaping into the anonymity of the military...and, of this, McCoy is a textbook example. Beginning his career with his own private practice in Augusta Georgia, a series of personal tragedies eventually saw the doctor join Starfleet.

The latest phase in McCoy's term of service is his posting aboard the USS Enterprise, a position for which he was specifically requested by it?’s new captain, the young and brash James Kirk. Now, as he's always done, the good doctor will carry out his duties to the best of his ability. However, more and more, Leonard will discover that the skeletons he?’s kept so well closeted have become too difficult for him to manage.
